Additionally, the Office of Dean of Students performs the following functions that promote student engagement, involvement, and life-long learning:
* Oversees the Student Conduct Code and Student Judicial Affairs * Advises Student Government * Advises Campus Activities & Programming (CAP), UT's official student programming board * Oversees 250+ student organizations at UT, provides advising, policy administration, training, and record-keeping * Oversees the budget process for all recognized student organizations, as well as departments that report to the Associate Vice President & Dean of Students * Oversees the Student Activities Committee, which allocates special funding and collaborative funding to student organizations * Coordinates the Student Affairs Programming Council * Facilitates professional development opportunities for staff within the Division of Student Affairs
